Patrick joined Sanctuary Lodge as a volunteer in April 2016, while working as a self-employed landscape gardener. He began working part-time in June and full-time in July 2016.
‘I decided I wanted to do something more rewarding, where I could help others who have struggled with addiction and mental health problems, and I have found exactly that at Sanctuary Lodge. I had no experience of working in the field before I began volunteering here and have learned a great deal through the work, the people, and the training courses I have attended since starting.’
