Choosing to admit myself to SL was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but by far one of the very, very best. I arrived in a state of anxiety, shame and desperation but was immediately welcomed with love, encouragement, support and hope. The entire team at SL were instrumental in my recovery, everyone there from therapist to chef to managers to administrators who were always on hand to offer the help I needed.
The programme is rigorous and thorough, as it ought to be. My care plan and therapist were carefully chosen to meet my individual needs whilst my full integration with the group was encouraged and supported to provide me with a network of ongoing support and friendship.
The accommodation and food are excellent (I can honestly say we all miss the food!). I have been given the tools at SL, and can continue to seek their help now, to enable me to work with self awareness and courage to face my addiction issues. I do not believe I would have been able to find the calibre of treatment I received at SL anywhere else, certainly for the amount I paid, and I am immensely grateful to everyone at SL who has given me a second chance at life.
