Tim Ascough

Tim hails from Manchester and has worked in the field of chemical dependency for sixteen years.

In recovery himself, his formal qualifications include a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling alongside extensive training in Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory and 12-Step/Minnesota Model group facilitation. Tim is also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Tim has worked in both the private sector and statutory agencies and has also worked extensively within the criminal justice system designing and delivering therapeutic programmes to aid chemically dependent individuals in HMP Manchester, HMP Risley and HMP Forest Bank.

Whilst a serious and committed therapist, Tim also tries to help individuals once again ‘find the funny’ in life, something they may have forgotten how to do in recent times, and he looks forward to welcoming you and your family to Sanctuary Lodge.
